We will be listing Kwanzaa 2021 events below. These include U.S. and international events. Come back soon! Please share this with your networks. This page contains loads of links which explore and explain the meaning and purpose of Kwanzaa. If you are holding a Kwanzaa event and would like it to be included, please post it on my Facebook page, Success Strategies for Black People. Happy Kwanzaa! Kwanzaa is a very special time, when people of African heritage gather with family and friends to re-connect with, and celebrate, our African heritage. Kwanzaa is based on African traditions. For more about Kwanzaa, including videos that explain the origins, background, and meaning of Kwanzaa, and the 7 Principles (Nguzo Saba), see: Kwanzaa: Celebrating Traditional African Values. Plus click here for Kwanzaa music, and books and DVDs about Kwanzaa, to share with your children, family, friends and loved ones. |

We will be meeting promptly at 7:30 and will be walking around downtown Seattle as a group to pass out bags/water/gear, so don't be late!

Kwanzaa Homeless Food Giveaway
Organized by : Violet Left
This event is simply about celebrating Blackness and reaffirming that Black Lives Matter through celebration as opposed to protest. Please kindly leave your privilege at home. :)
This year, in order to celebrate the 4th theme of Kwanzaa (Mutual Aid), we will be handing out healthy/organic sack lunches to the homeless in Downtown Seattle. On December 29th we will meet IN FRONT of Left Bank Books in Pike Place Market. It's on the cross streets of Pike and 1st Ave in the Market, across from the info booth. NOTE: Most of Pike Place Market will be closed by then!! Luckily for us that means free parking in the market and surrounding areas. (If you have to go to the bathroom before we start, go to City Target across the street).
We will be meeting promptly at 7:30 and will be walking around downtown Seattle as a group to pass out bags/water/gear, so don't be late!
